A bottle for the whole family. THE SPRAY for WATER PROOF", the best of the well-known Brift H products. We will introduce tips on how to use it and how to apply it to make full use of this time of the year.

If you have already read this article, I am sure. I am sure that you already have it, but today I would like to talk about "THE SPRAY for WATER PROOF", one of the best waterproofing sprays in Brift H's product line.

One of the first articles we wrote when we relaunched our website was about the story behind the creation of this waterproof spray.
Here is the article I wrote then.

Today, I would like to write about tips on how to use this waterproof spray and how to apply it.

First of all, what kind of shoes should waterproof spray be used on? This is a rudimentary question, but it is surprisingly misunderstood, so I will start from there.

I have heard many people say, "Isn't it OK to use waterproof spray on any kind of shoes? Or, "When I bought my shoes, the shopkeeper told me I should spray them with waterproofing spray!

The correct answer is "use it on shoes made of materials that cannot be sprayed with cream". For example, "sneakers," "raised materials such as suede and nubuck," "cloth and satin," and "special materials with a mysterious finish. We believe that waterproof sprays are used for shoes that are not suitable for applying creams or waxes, such as "sneakers", "suede and nubuck", "fabric and satin", and "special materials with mysterious finishes".

For example, many people often apply waterproofing spray to smooth leather shoes after polishing them, but if you do this, the gloss that has been achieved by creams and waxes will be muddied by the spray.

The wax content in creams and waxes has water repellency, so smooth leather should be made more waterproof by wax. So, to put it simply, if you apply a good coat of oil-based wax, the waterproofing power will be even greater than when waterproofing spray is applied, so please wax the leather well.

Now, let us talk about how to actually use the waterproofing spray. First, remove dirt before spraying.

Use a horsehair brush to thoroughly remove dirt from the entire shoe and brush out any fine dust that may be stuck in the fibers.

The best place to apply the waterproofing spray is outside. Even if you are indoors, please do it in a large space where there are no people around, because the area will be filled with water after spraying.

Now it is time to spray, but the trick here is to spray evenly over the entire area. The reason for this is that we often hear of the common mistake of spraying the entire area with the spray, which is that the spray is uneven. This is a phenomenon that occurs when spray is sprayed in a spritz.

It is natural that uneven colors will appear in areas that have been sprayed and areas that have not been sprayed, so it is important to make sure to "spray evenly over the entire area. When we actually try it, everyone says, "You don't have to spray so much, do you? That's the trick.

Keep a distance of about 30 cm from the mouth of the sprayer and spray in a circular motion, starting from the heel. Spray while making sure that the color darkens as it soaks into the leather throughout the shooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Some people are surprised to see the color change there! Some people may be surprised, but spray it while imagining Mr. Yasumura, who is a cheerful guy anyway, saying, "Don't worry, the color will come back. This is also a trick in a sense. After 10 minutes of spraying, the color will be dry and the waterproofing will have been enhanced.

For shoes made of suede or nubuck, lightly brush them with a horsehair brush before putting them on. In this case, brushing on your side of the shoe to make the fibers stand up will help them to hold together nicely.

Finally, "THE SPRAY for WATER PROOF" is actually a versatile product that can be used for everything, not just shoes. Please use it on bags, clothes, leather goods, and other important items that you don't want to get wet. In particular, many leather bags are prone to stains when wet, so this product will be very useful during this season.

It is also very useful for nylon and cloth bags and backpacks. I also use it on my own bags and shoes, and on rainy mornings, I put it on my children's athletic shoes before I see them off. I also use it on my own bags and shoes, and on rainy mornings, I put it on my children's sports shoes before sending them off. My children are happy to hear that their shoes did not get wet.

However, please be careful not to put it on products that are originally made of waterproof material or have a water-repellent finish (umbrellas, tents, etc.), as it will cause unevenness and stains. This is a must-have product for long-lasting use of leather products in Japan, where it rains a lot. Please keep one in the house, and if possible, another one in the office.
